Former Brine CEO Sean Fox Joins 3D Lacrosse as Executive Vice President of Operations

Fox to Strengthen Operating Procedures Nationwide While Addressing New Business Development Initiatives

DENVER, COLO. (October 28, 2014) – 3d Lacrosse, the nation’s fastest-growing player development, event and club operations Company, announced today that former Brine, Inc. CEO Sean Fox has joined the organization as Executive Vice President of Operations, reporting to 3d Lacrosse CEO Jamie Munro and President/COO Greg Waldbaum. Fox is charged with developing Best Practice operating procedures nationwide while also adding to new business initiatives for the Company.

Most recently, Sean was the COO for a socially responsible health-oriented company following his tenure as CEO and President of Kidrobot, Inc., a creator, distributor and retailer of limited edition, collectible art toys, apparel and accessories. Earlier, Fox served as Vice President of North American Sales for Crocs, where he engineered the transformation of the footwear manufacturer from an item-specific retailer to a brand-driven business model.

Before Crocs, Sean Fox was the CEO and President of Brine, Inc., (starting as their VP of Sales and Marketing). During his seven-year run (1999 – 2006), Fox helped the company become the industry’s dominant brand from a marketing and performance perspective, including the introduction of the company’s signature men’s helmet which garnered a 20 percent market share in the category. Fox also spent seven years at Reebok International, having joined Reebok through its acquisition of Above the Rim International, a leading lifestyle basketball apparel company which Fox co-founded and served as COO.

Fox earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Hobart College where he was a key contributor to five NCAA Division III national championships: four as a player and one as an assistant coach. Under Hobart Coach Dave Urick, Fox understood that winning was important, but helping someone else learn the game was the higher calling. Therefore, regardless of his business roles, Fox’s coaching duties continued as he moved into the youth game for both the Boulder Valley Lacrosse Association (Colorado) and the King Philip Youth Lacrosse Association (Massachusetts). He also participated in youth camps and clinics at Hobart College and Cornell University.

“We are thrilled to have an executive of Sean’s caliber on board,” said 3d Lacrosse CEO Jamie Munro. “He brings unprecedented level of strategic planning, operational excellence and quality control expertise to the organization. Very few people can apply their business achievements with the deep understanding and passion for lacrosse in the way that Sean has done on a daily basis for more than 30 years.”

For Fox, a new role at 3d Lacrosse returns him to the sport he loves best in the kind of fast-growing environment in which he thrives. “3d Lacrosse is the perfect fit for me. I’m working again daily in a sport I love with an organization experiencing explosive growth at the national level.”
