G3 Goalie Academy to Feature Division I Coaches and MLL Standouts

Providence, RI –– G3 Lacrosse is proud to announce its’ marquee summer 2013 event at Avon Old Farms this August 11 through 13th. The innovative and comprehensive instruction for the G3 Goalie Academy will be led by three Division I collegiate coaches and MLL starting goaltenders. John Galloway (Providence College – Rochester Rattlers), Adam Ghitelman (Harvard University – Charlotte Hounds) and Kip Turner (Brown University – Chesapeake Bayhawks) will instruct and lead the three-day overnight event that will cover all facets of the goaltending position.

“We couldn’t be more excited to launch this venture and revolutionize the way the goaltending position is taught” Galloway said. “To work with two players who excelled at the collegiate level at UVA, won national championships, and now strive to great success at the college coaching level allows use to feed off each others’ ideas, and cohesively create one of the most educational goaltending academies that has ever come to fruition.”

With a focus on the core fundamentals and emphasis on the finer aspects of the goaltending position often ignored at traditional lacrosse camps, G3 instructors have created a curriculum that will cover every aspect of the position. From mental approaches to tangible drills and fundamentals, each goaltender will be critically assessed and provided with feedback and an array of new drills and training methods to continue their quest to become successful goaltenders. Kip Turner, the current starting goaltender of defending world champions Chesapeake Bayhawks, shared the same enthusiasm, “we plan for G3 to be the elite modern training ground for goaltenders who are looking to play lacrosse at the next level through skill work, film study and mental training”.

The G3 Goalie Academy will be held at the prestigious Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Connecticut. The academy will be open to rising 6th graders (as of summer 2013) and up. G3 Lacrosse is offering both residential and commuter slots, but SPACE IS LIMITED. To sign up, please visit www.g3lacrosse.com and click the ‘EVENTS’ tab on the left.
