Game Photos: Notre Dame vs. Johns Hopkins

The second annual ‘San Fran Fall Lacrosse Classic’ featured an amazing game between two powerhouses in Johns Hopkins and Notre Dame live and direct from Kezar Stadium (the former home of such teams like the San Francisco Dragons and 49′ers) in front of close to 5,000 spectators. Below are photos from the game.

Johns Hopkins wore BlackJack decals on their helmet in honor of former Bellarmine coach Jack McGetrick who recently passed away this month after a two-year battle with cancer. Hopkins was also wearing new White STX K18 gloves with Columbia Blue accents.

Notre Dame players were playing with Cascade CPX-R helmets and Pro7 helmets. They have been using Riddell helmets for awhile until now. Despite the new contract with adidas, none of their players were seen wearing adidas equipment yet because they are slated to have them delivered in 2011. A majority of the Irish wore Brine gloves from the previous season.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
