Helmet Decals Complete Indiana Hoosiers Kit

As planned, the ZimaGear decals have been placed upon the Warrior TII’s at midseason completing the final touch to their uniform. The logo is a White torch surrounded by an outer circle of thirteen stars, an inner semi circle of five stars, and a 19th, larger, star at the top of the torch. The design represents Indiana’s admission to the Union as the 19th state. Apparently, the decals are Matte just like the Crimson on the helmet. What do you think of the decals?

Played them last weekend and they look pretty good in person. Still wondering whether the white on the cage is distracting.

you’re all stupid. Its a helmet, which has no correlation to our schedule, where we are from, or our ability as a team. If you think we’re so bad, play us.

plain bucket was a lot cooler. looks like a peewee football helmet now. You guys should have saved money on the decals and bought not-black cleats

For the folks below me – google chrome / mozilla firefox and adblock plus with the extension. No more mandatory video.

As far at the helmet – i think it’s a great move. It’s from the Indiana state flag which makes it pertinent to IU – especially considering how many players there come from in-state. But – the fit & finish is poor – the gloss on the clear sticker space ruins the matte effect, and the logo being to big and stars getting cut off makes it look a bit unfinished. 7/10.

I’m just surprised that Warrior couldn’t have worked out a way to get the design on the side of the helmet – from doing our helmets, I can tell that the finish on the helmets appear to be a painting process before it gets dipped in gloss. Could have been really cool to see matte with the gloss design.

The decals shown on this helmet were a prototype–

The final decals were finished with a matte overlay to preserve the matte finish throughout the entire helmet with the exception of the gloss white stripe.

“especially considering how many players there come from in-state.” … less than half their roster comes from Indiana.

Decals ruined a great helmet. Flat out ugly, too busy, and have absolutely nothing to do with IU. Also the video thing will ruin this great website like these decals ruined this great helmet.

You realize that is from the INDIANA flag right?

      • NeverEndingMCLA on March 21, 2013 at 4:58 pm

You realize it still looks ridiculous right? They have some horrendous stripes on their jerseys and then this torch on their helmets. It is just way too much going on. But what gets me more than anything is Indiana’s schedule. Doesn’t matter how cool (or ugly) the jerseys look, when they play R.Morris and Wabash and win by 20 goals, it makes the program look stupid. Waste of time and money. Just an effort to pad stats.

I like the Indiana jerseys but I think the torch is ugly and irrelevant.

Wabash and Robert Morris asked to play against Indiana as a means to play some tougher competition. You sure are giving Indiana a hard time. Must be a Purdue guy.
