Hofstra Wounded Warrior Uniforms

This past weekend Hofstra wore Camo uniforms and Warrior TII helmets against UNC inspired by the Wounded Warrior Project. The game jerseys worn by the players on the field actually feature name plates with the last names of local wounded vets, many of whom were in attendance at Shuart Stadium.

Senior Marcus Holman tallied three goals and four assists and Chad Tutton added three goals to lead the third-ranked Tar Heels of North Carolina over the 20th-ranked Hofstra Pride, 14-5 before 5,345 fans at James M. Shuart Stadium Saturday night.

The Pride slipped to 7-5 on the season while UNC, which posted its sixth consecutive victory, improved to 9-3. View Game Photos from Saturday night below.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
