Hollywood Men’s Lacrosse Club Opens Season Against UCLA

On Saturday, October 20th, 2012 the Hollywood Men’s Lacrosse club kicked off it’s 2012-2013 fall season with a game against UCLA on UCLA’s Intramural field. The game was a chance to get new players into the mix and conduct tryouts for a few new additions to the roster. Hollywood knocked off the rust with a 4-3 win over UCLA.

The team continues to recruit players in the off season and will have another preseason scrimmage on December 16th against South Bay. This game is an opportunity for new players to come and join the team in a fun yet competitive environment.

Team member Dave Brown (US Air Force Academy ’06) was quoted at the previous scrimmage as saying, “Hollywood is more of an art than a science. We have a great bunch of guys and the team is very active. Creating the proper mix of youth and experienced players, west coast club players, and former D1, D2, D3, and MCLA players is an exciting challenge that we revisit every fall. Our next scrimmage against South Bay is another chance for players to come and join the experience.”
