Holy Cross Men’s Lacrosse Welcomes 17 New Players To The Program

WORCESTER, Mass.­ – Holy Cross head men’s lacrosse coach Jim Morrissey has announced the 2011-2012 freshman class. Juan Angel-Diaz (Potomac, Md.), Eddie Cameron (Hull, Mass.), Jack Foster (Midlothian, Va.), Joe Fusco (North Caldwell, N.J.), Frank Gaul (Glen Rock, N.J.), Clay Haarmann (Mendham, N.J.), Terry McKenna (Summit, N.J.), Jimmy O’Brien (Loudonville, N.Y.), Jon Pillon (Branchburg, N.J.), Tyler Purdue (Mendham, N.J.), Conor Shanahan (Potomac, Md.), Burke Smith (Fairway, Kan.), Chris Smith (Rye, N.Y.), Jack Spencer (Garden City, N.Y.), Sam Van Hook (Boulder, Colo.) and Jamie Ward (Glen Rock, N.J.) have joined the Holy Cross program for the 2011-2012 academic year, along with sophomore Jack Ayers (Scituate, Mass.).
“This group of 17 new players have made an immediate impact on our program since the first day of fall ball,” said Morrissey. “They have raised the bar and are pushing our upperclassmen in the weight room and on the lacrosse field. The competition for playing time should become fierce this spring.”
