Lacrosse Evolution Announces Free Coaches’ Clinics

Downingtown, PA – March, 2013 – Lacrosse Evolution today announced their Free Spring Coaches Clinic for coaches at its Downingtown and King of Prussia training facilities. Old Dominion alumni and current Rosemont College Head Coach Sue Wolfgang-Dotsey will be sharing her years of experience coaching with the coaches of female programs in attendance. Lacrosse Evolution Downingtown Men’s Director and former Wesley College (DE) Defensive Coach Pat Harner and current Assistant Coach at Ursinus College, David Page, will share their knowledge on the men’s game with emphasis on how the game is evolving.

Rosemont College’s Sue Wolfgang Dotsey will cover:
• Passing and catching in between the shoulders
• Defensive positioning- playing north to south creating a clear path for your goalie
• Crease Defense
• Attack positioning and cutting- sealing off and using the crease
• Transition and sealing off / working off ball

LaxEvo’s Pat Harner and Ursinus College David Page will cover:
• Offense- motion offense and the pic and roll
• Defense- man to man defense and zone
• Transition offense and defense
• Man up and Man Down
• Goalie Play

Also included in the Free Coaches Clinic will be a discussion on mild traumatic brain injuries (TBI) by a Bryn Mawr Hospital Therapist. In the discussion, symptoms will be discussed and how to treat cases of TBI properly in order to reduce the risk of future problems.

Lacrosse Evolution will also be offering Private Lessons and Team Training sessions at both its Downington and King of Prussia training facilities staffed by our excellent coaches . Private Lessons are the best and quickest way to get an athlete to their next desired level and beyond.

In addition to its specialty training, Lacrosse Evolution will be offering a Spring Maintenance for Boys and Girls starting on April 4, 2013. Nationally renowned lacrosse player and coach Tom Slate developed these programs to combine lacrosse specific speed, agility, quickness, strength training with intensive lacrosse skills training to evolve our players into The Complete Lacrosse athlete.” C.S.C.S. certified trainer Dave Donovan works with players to make their movements as efficient as possible and helps them to transfer their training over to their game.

The Spring Maintenance Program is offered three days a week for 10 weeks leading up to the Summer 2013 recruiting season.
