Lax for Relief, a Fundraiser for Tuscaloosa, Alabama

LaxUNation.com reports…

The Palasek Family has been directly affected by the tornado that struck Tuscaloosa, and are hoping to give back the best way they know how, through lacrosse.

“Touching Lives Through Service……In the aftermath of the storm of April 27, 2011, The University of Alabama’s spirit of kindness shone through in countless ways in our community. Students, faculty and staff took action collectively and independently to come to the aid of neighbors in need and to reach out to a community that is so closely intertwined with our university” Christopher Palasek, currently a sophomore at University of Alabama who plays attack on the Alabama Mens Club Lacrosse team, was deeply affected by the total devastation the tornado had on his college town of Tuscaloosa, AL. Although his freshman year was abruptly cut short in the wake of the aftermath he felt there had to be some way he could give back to a community he called home & had come to love for the last 10 months. Together with his brothers Tommy- Attack Syracuse, Matt- Attack UMass & Ryan -Defense Syracuse 2012 commit they will be offering:

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
