Mark Crisco Hired as Shenandoah Men’s Lax Assistant

WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Mike Kruger announced Thursday that he has hired Mark Crisco as a volunteer assistant coach.

Crisco graduated this past spring from Stevenson University after starting his collegiate career at C.W. Post University.

The Bel Air, Maryland native played two years of lacrosse at Post and helped the Pioneers to a Division II National Championship in 2009.

Crisco’s addition rounds out Kruger’s staff for the 2012 season.

Kruger, who took the reins of the men’s lacrosse program in August, hired Nick Northern as his primary assistant in September.

“Mark is going to be a great asset to the program,” Kruger said. “He has played at the highest level of NCAA lacrosse and knows what it takes to be successful.

“I am very happy to have him as part of our staff.”

Crisco was a defenseman at Post and earned All-County honors during his prep career at Bel Air Senior H.S.

“I appreciate Mike giving me this opportunity,” Crisco said. “I think that Shenandoah has great potential and I look forward to being a part of the success I am sure we will have in the near future.”

Shenandoah opens its 2012 season on February 18 at Frostburg State.
