Maverik Base Goalie Head

With the help of Kip Turner and Drew Adams, the Base is the culmination from two of the best goalies in the game. Offering the largest surface area allowed, the Base Head was designed to be lightweight and responsive, allowing you to convert groundballs to fast breaks. Wide towards the bottom, both Drew and Kip wanted that to cover any errant bounce shots when they have their stick down. The sidewalls feature spherical designs with a stiff beam running through them. The head is light while maintaining a high degree of stiffness.

Below are images of the head strung with Monster mesh. Notice how the pocket channels into a wide area at the bottom of the head. Ideal for securing the save while disallowing rebounds.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.

would look a lot better if it had GOOD stringing. whoever strung this just turned a lot of people away from the head. Im sure it looks filthy with a sick channel

I spoke with a maverik rep at the bitter lacrosse tournament and he told me that the price would be around 80 or 90 dollors.

It is like a combo between the eraser and the nemi. Don’t know what to think but maverik tends to make high quality stuff for a good price.

This should be released in Fall ’11. I’d say the feel is a mix between an Eclipse and a Void.
