Maverik Lacrosse Launches Spider 17 Head

NEW YORK — February 27, 2012 — Maverik Lacrosse is proud to announce the launch of the Spider 17 Head. The Spider 17 incorporates all the benefits of the original Spider Head, but is designed with a more narrow throat as set by NFHS standards. The narrow design allows for increased ball control and retention, a key feature for any offensive-minded midfielder or attackman. The Spider 17 was prominently featured in Maverik’s newly released commercial The Future is Here.

“As an attackman, I often find myself dodging in traffic,” said Maverik Athlete and MLL attackman Billy Bitter. “The Spider 17’s narrow throat offers tighter hold on the ball while still allowing a quick release.”

Maverik’s complete line of Spider Heads:

Spider 17 – Meets NFHS Specs for maximum ball control.
Spider – Legal for play at all levels, for optimum versatility.
Spider One – Meets NCAA Specs, narrow/pinched scoop for accuracy.
