Maverik Lacrosse Releases Kyle Sweeney “Character Defined” Video

Long Island City, NY – February 25, 2010 – Maverik Lacrosse and Maverik Films today premiered “Kyle Sweeney: Character Defined.” To check out “Kyle Sweeney: Character Defined,” and all of Maverik’s videos, photos and more go to www.maveriklacrosse.com .

“Kyle Sweeney: Character Defined,” is unique among lacrosse videos in that it gives fans a rare glimpse into the psyche of one of today’s premier players and his daily pursuit of excellence both on the field and behind the scenes at Maverik Lacrosse.

“Jay’s video really captures Kyle’s unspoken work ethic and dedication to lacrosse and Maverik,” said John Gagliardi, founder and President of Maverik Lacrosse. “I have always been told that character is what one does when no one is looking. Kyle’s success is certainly a testament to this.”

Sweeney is a favorite of both indoor and outdoor professional lacrosse fans. He currently plays professionally for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and is a member of the Boston Cannons in Major League Lacrosse (MLL). In 2004, 2006 and 2007, Kyle helped the now defunct Philadelphia Barrage capture the MLL championship. Most recently Kyle was named to play for Team USA at the World Championships in Manchester, England in 2010.

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
