NEW YORK, NY – October 18, 2013 – Maverik Lacrosse announced today the launch of its latest and most innovative lacrosse glove, the ROME NXT. The highly anticipated new product features FLOWCOOL ventilation technology with DURASTRETCH and XFOAM construction.
The ROME NXT glove first debuted during the MAVERIK SHOWTIME Lacrosse National Recruiting Spotlight in July, 2013, in a custom navy, carolina and red color way. The ROME NXT gloves have since been worn by LXM PRO players on MAVERIK UNITED.
From player insight, to advanced material sourcing and innovative construction engineered by the Maverik R&D team, an extraordinary amount of teamwork and collaboration went into the creation of the ROME NXT glove. “What I love most is that the gloves are incredibly lightweight and come ready to use right out of the packaging” said Billy Bitter, Marketing Coordinator and star attackman on MAVERIK UNITED.
“We wanted to make sure that an elite player who stops at lacrosse store on his way to a game can grab a pair of our gloves, roll into his game, and feel 100% confident that the gloves are going to perform at the highest level,” added Kyle Morin, Category Manager at Maverik Lacrosse.
The ROME NXT glove features a new FLOWCOOL ventilation technology, allowing for air to flow through the back hand padding. Feedback and player insight gained from Maverik athletes, LXM PRO players and sports marketing partners revealed the need for a more ventilated glove. FLOWCOOL technology allows for venting and heat to disperse out of the back of the hand.
Innovative construction techniques incorporate advanced materials into the glove’s all new design. Maverik’s DURASTRETCH material, first introduced in the original ROME glove, allows for supreme comfort and responsive fit while XFOAM provides weight reduction with ultimate protection.
