Maverik Lacrosse’s Billy Bitter Kicking Off Midwest Tour at Notre Dame

New York — June 14, 2012 – Maverik Lacrosse today announced that three-time All-American and MLL Charlotte Hounds starting attackman Billy Bitter is hitting the road this Summer and will be holding shooting clinics across the Midwest. Billy will be kicking off his Midwest tour on Sunday, June 17th at Notre Dame University for a two day skills clinic sponsored by Maverik followed by shooting clinics in Chicago on June 20th and Indianapolis on the 21st. Billy will also be making in store appearances at local lacrosse retail stores to meet with fans, sign autographs, answer questions and take pictures. Maverik’s complete line of 2012 equipment will be on display at TAMA Lacrosse and Empire Lacrosse. Billy Bitter was a 1st round pick in the 2011 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft by the Denver outlaws (third overall), recording 12 goals in 9 games in his first professional season and was traded to the Charlotte Hounds in a 2012 league expansion deal. In college, Billy was a two-time first team All-American during his first three years at the University of North Carolina and was a second-team All-American his senior year. Bitter tallied 99 goals and 76 assists with 172 ground balls in 63 career games playing for the Tar Heels. In high school, Billy garnered wide spread notoriety and earned All-America honors as a senior playing for Manhasset High School.
