Maverik Releases “Laker Pride,” 1st Video in “Roots” Video Series

Long Island City, NY – May 3, 2011 – “Laker Pride” the first installment of the Maverik “Roots” video series, produced by Maverik Films director Jay Jalbert follows Maverik Athlete and New Jersey lacrosse legend Joe Cinosky back to where it all began, Mountain Lakes High School. Cinosky, a decorated lacrosse player was an All-American, team captain at the University of Maryland, as well as a 2X MLL Champion and member of the 2010 Team USA World Championship Team. In “Laker Pride,” Joe recounts his high schools’ biggest rivalries, his defining moments as a player and what it meant to play for a storied program like Mountain Lakes and Coach Tim Flynn.

“Coach Flynn played an influential role in my life both on and off the field,” said Cinosky. “He brought a great family atmosphere to our team, one which I hope to emulate with the players I coach. Ultimately, my goal is to coach college lacrosse at the Division I level and help grow the game of lacrosse throughout the Midwest.”
