Maverik Takes The Wraps Off NEW Website

Long Island City, NY, December 16, 2010 – Maverik Lacrosse today took the wraps off its NEW Website, www.maveriklacrosse.com, featuring Maverik’s new product line for 2011 including the “Prep” and “Rize” heads. The TEAM section of the site offers new photos, Q&A’s and bios for all of Maverik’s athletes. The launch of Maverik’s new Website also marks the debut of “Redemption,” the latest film in the “Be Ready” video series from Maverik Films director/producer Jay Jalbert. “Redemption” follows Maverik athlete Paul Rabil through one of his intense off-season training sessions and gives you a better understanding of his continued drive and determination to become a better player. “Our goal was to create a video that speaks to the mental and physical approach to the off-season,” said director/producer Jay Jalbert. “Who better to talk about it than Paul.”

Maverik’s new site also features a virtual “Product Customizer” to allow fans to create and share their custom team glove, arm pad and bag designs. Featured products include Maverik’s marquee glove the Maybach and the NEW for 2011 Empire glove and arm pad. Maverik’s “Product Customizer” tool now provides actual photographs of its equipment (gloves, arm pads and equipment bags) and a pallet of 14 colors to help you create your own custom designs. The site also gives you the option of submitting your custom design to your authorized dealer of choice for purchase or sharing it with your friends on Facebook. To find an authorized Maverik dealer near you, checkout our new “Dealer Locator.”

“I feel our new website better reflects all of the great products we are introducing to the market and all the great people we have involved at Maverik,” said John Gagliardi, President and founder of Maverik Lacrosse. “I think it reflects our growth as a company and one step closer to becoming the number one lacrosse company in the world.”

So bookmark the page, www.maveriklacrosse.com, and join the official Maverik fan page http://facebook.com/maveriklacrosse for Maverik’s “Holiday Wishlist Giveaway” and the latest products and promos.

Maverik would also like to thank the Athletic Director, Coaches and Staff at Manhattanville College for hosting and providing the ideal location for the shoot of “Redemption.”

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
