The complete line of equipment and apparel first premiered during the Maverik Showtime Girls National Recruiting Spotlight in June 2013, where 140 of the top rising sophomores and juniors in the country were given an exclusive opportunity to use the product on field before it hits shelves this fall.
The women’s lacrosse brand is the culmination of years of consumer insight, product research, and testing by the Maverik team. “It was crucial for us to incorporate components of the Maverik men’s brand into our messaging and brand voice, while acknowledging the social and competitive nature of women’s lacrosse,” said Aly Josephs, Category Manager for Maverik Women’s Lacrosse. “Our entrance into the women’s market exemplifies our dedication to the female athletes and their own commitment to their sport.”

Highlighting the inaugural line are the WonderGirl Complete Stick and Twist Beginner Package. The WonderGirl Complete features an ultra lightweight head design, No-Tear Top String and Swivel Pocket Pro for durability and forgiveness in the pocket. A Composite Shaft is included designed for high performance.
The Twist beginner package features a Twist Complete Stick, Cascade Poly Pro Goggles, and a Twist backpack, making sure players have everything they need to hit the field in style.
Also included in the new women’s line are the Theory and Magik shafts. “Shafts have been a staple product for Men’s line since its inception. We wanted to carry this over for the Women, and the Theory and Magik are a great way to start that,” said Josephs. The Theory is a composite handle with a 7/8” rounded octagon shape for balance of weight and ease of movement. The Magik composite shaft has the WonderGirl shape while featuring a Stick’Um Grip rubberized coating to eliminate the need for tape.
