MetroLacrosse, New Balance Custom Uniform for the 2010 MLL All-Star Game

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of MetroLacrosse, New Balance has created a custom uniform for the 2010 MLL All-Star Game, inspired by the success of this program in Boston’s urban communities. All game-worn jerseys from the All-Star game at Harvard Stadium on July 8th, 2010 will be autographed by the players and auctioned-off to benefit the continued work of MetroLacrosse.

MLL All Star Uniform

MetroLacrosse is a program aimed at breaking down the disparity between sports programs available to urban youth in comparison to their suburban counterparts. Formed in Boston in 2000 in the same year that Major League Lacrosse first took to the field, MetroLacrosse now brings its unique blend of sport, personal development and educational outreach to urban communities across the nation.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
