MLL’s Hurricane Irene Playoff Games Deemed Instant Classics by ESPN

Jake Steinfeld, co-founder of the MLL, tweeted that the playoff games played through Hurricane Irene last Saturday have been deemed “Instant Classics” by ESPN. An “Instant Classic” means the games will be broadcasted on the ESPN Classic channel like other amazing games in sports history. Lacrosse is a sport played by people who know how to persevere when an obstacle approaches. Hurricane Irene was a Texas sized obstacle, yet, the MLL played the games as scheduled.

A constant downpour can be extremely detrimental to your game. Factors such as shaft grip, whip in your pocket, vision and cleat traction, to name a few, all play a big role in how you perform. Lax.com provided videos of the games. Check them out and let us know what you think about the brutal weather conditions.

Is there a way to watch them online? And CTlax15 laxers should support the MLL to help it grow. Watching those highlights above some of it is impressive (Powell’s btb assist to Boltus). It looks well worth watching!
