NBC Sports Network will Broadcast Moe’s Southwest Lacrosse Classic on 2/19

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Moe’s Southwest Classic men’s lacrosse challenge has received a national boost as NBC will broadcast both games on the new NBC Sports Network Feb. 19.

The Classic is a doubleheader with games scheduled at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. at EverBank Field. The first game will match fifth-ranked Denver going against Ohio State with Jacksonville University taking on the United States Naval Academy at 4:00 p.m.

A three-person announce team will spearhead coverage with Brent Harris doing play-by-play, Evan Washburn color and Amber Theoharis as sideline reporter.

“It is fantastic that one of the powers in television sports broadcasting will be partnering with us,” JU Director of Athletics Alan Verlander said. “We have always believed the Moe’s Southwest Classic is worthy of the national stage and having NBC Sports Network televising both games of the Classic justifies our belief.”

Jacksonville University head coach Guy Van Arsdale said all four competing teams will receive national notoriety because of NBC Sports Network involvement.

“We are very excited to have the NBC Sports Network televising the games,” he said. “Because of the popularity of NBC Sports Network, the exposure for all our teams will be immeasurable.”
