On December 1st, New Balance will re-issue its original 990 running shoe. This re-release marks the 30th anniversary of the classic, “Made in USA” shoe. Originally released in 1982, the 990 took five years to develop. The lengthy research and development period led to a revolutionary shoe with a slip last construction and encapsulated EVA sole unit. New Balance attached the unique tagline:, “On a scale of a 1000, this shoe is a 990.”
A limited run of only 990 pairs will be available at New Balance stores and select retailers starting December 1, 2012. Act quickly to put a piece of history in your arsenal of holiday gear.
