New York Islanders to Host Lacrosse Night at Nassau Coliseum

On February 8th and 26th, the New York Islanders are teaming up with their neighbor, Hofstra University’s Pride lacrosse team, in a special event featuring two of America’s most exhilarating sports. Islanders writer, Andrew Burke, writes, “This special deal offers a multi-faceted opportunity for viewers, as both Hofstra Pride vs. Princeton Tigers and Islanders vs. Toronto Maple Leafs will be on display for the modest price of thirty dollars.”

This a phenomenal opportunity for lacrosse to again be placed in a much brighter light. Burke states, “Before the hockey game, Hofstra lacrosse coaches Seth Tierney and Joe Amplo will host a clinic featuring a live skills demonstration by the team players and captains, as well as motivational speeches by the coaches themselves on the game of lacrosse.”
