Nike IWLCA Convention Attracts 500 Coaches to Florida

Grand Lake, CO –The Nike Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) annual meeting will attract more than 500 coaches from 300 schools to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida from November 19-21st.

The association will discuss a variety of topics that impact the college coaching profession, including: starting a new program, taking over an established program, roster management, transitioning between divisions, how to be a strong assistant coach, how to protect yourself as a coach, managing parental involvement and organizing recruiting efforts.

Gothard Lane, IWLCA Executive Director, said, “Our convention is the prime opportunity for our coaches to support one another and discuss the vital topics that impact their career growth as well as the growth of the sport. We are proud to have a leader like Nike on board with its commitment to women’s athletics as the IWLCA membership collaborates to determine our future direction.”

The convention kicks off with a coaches clinic on the 19th from 9 am-Noon at the Coronado Springs Resort.
