North Carolina Lacrosse is Ready for Takeoff

UNC is going with new Argyle patterned lids for their Quarterfinal game against Duke this weekend. The Tar Heels will be wearing Cascade Pro 7s with a new wraparound Argyle decal that goes along the side profile and back panel.

The visor (“Carolina” on the left side brim) and top vent covers have a dark Blue trim that makes the Carolina Blue pop. The UNC insignia is on both sides of the helmet as well. The amount of real estate that the Argyle decal is covering has been pretty much unseen in NCAA play. What are your thoughts on the helmet? Too much or just right?

Not sure how I feel about these, but Carolina is the only team that can pull these off due to the fact that it must be a nod to the basketball unis.

My eyes can’t focus on one thing for very long. Better only watch the game in HD or the helmet will look like a Lindsey Lohan hot mess, in standard def.

The next question is.. who comes out with a paisley design wrap on their bucket first?

I love Carolina lax, but wow. I’m not sure about those. I definitely like them better than Duke’s flat black. Hopefully they get better results too.
