North Carolina Lacrosse Releases 2013 Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Seven regular-season games and two scrimmages against 2012 NCAA Tournament Teams highlight the 2013 schedule for the University of North Carolina men’s lacrosse team announced Thursday by fifth-year Tar Heel head coach Joe Breschi.

The Tar Heels have games scheduled against 2012 NCAA finalist Maryland, 2012 NCAA semifinalists Notre Dame and Duke, 2012 NCAA quarterfinalists Virginia and Johns Hopkins and against NCAA participants Princeton and Massachusetts. Scrimmages are also slated against 2012 NCAA champion Loyola and 2012 NCAA quarterfinalist Denver.
Other regular season games include matchups against Air Force, Fairfield, Dartmouth, Brown and High Point at Fetzer Field and a match at Hofstra on April 13. The Tar Heels will host High Point on Senior Night at Fetzer Field on April 19. Carolina will host Johns Hopkins on Alumni Weekend in Kenan Stadium on March 30.
Carolina will also play host to ACC Tournament for the first time since 2009. Semifinal games will be played at Kenan Stadium on April 26 and the championship match is at Kenan on April 28.
