NXTsports Will Host Second Annual Final Four Trashcan Lacrosse Experience

NXTsports is excited to announce that it will host the second annual Final Four Trashcan Lacrosse Experience Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Rash Field.

The second annual Trashcan Lacrosse Experience (TLE) at the Division I Final Four is completely free for all participants and will provide an opportunity for young lacrosse players to learn and play Trashcan, the wildly popular two-on-two pickup game of lacrosse. The TLE’s King of the Can tournament will feature divisions for all ages and every kid that joins in on the fun at the Trashcan Lacrosse Experience will walk away with a prize, such as lacrosse equipment, hats, sunglasses, pinnies and much more.

“We’re extremely excited about the TLE’s success at the Final Four in Philadelphia last year,” NXTsports CEO & President Andy Hayes said. “We fully anticipate an even greater turnout in arguably one of the best lacrosse cities in the country. There’s no better way to kick off your Final Four weekend than to come to the TLE and prove your skills and have a blast doing it. We look forward to seeing players of all ages and experience levels at the TLE.”

Peter Lawrence, head coach at the University of Hartford and co-founder of Trashcan, saw the excitement that last year’s Trashcan Lacrosse Experience generated and anticipates an even greater turnout with its prime location in the Inner Harbor.

“The Final Four is about family, friends and having fun,” Lawrence said. “There’s no better way to start my Saturday than some King of the Can in the Inner Harbor. We look forward to making some new friends while teaching and competing in the great game of Trashcan Lacrosse.”

What are you waiting for? Just bring your stick and join us at the exciting TLE. See you in Baltimore.

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
