One World Lacrosse Announces Partnership with Philippines Lacrosse

(November 6th, 2012) – We are happy to announce that One World Lacrosse (OWL) will be partnering with Philippines Lacrosse, and assisting them in their mission to unify all Filipino lacrosse players around the world. The two organizations share a unifying vision. A vision which asserts that the growth and support of youth lacrosse is paramount to the overall success of the sport.

When Philippines Lacrosse travels to play the Costa Rican National Team December 7th-9th, they will hold a youth clinic, followed by the big game on Sunday. They are also taking a group of United States-based players to the Philippines to Grow The Game in 2013. The team is holding two clinics in February, and OWL will assist them with sticks, equipment, and a guided curriculum as they build the Filipino lacrosse movement.

One World Lacrosse is currently planning to bring a lacrosse and clean water project back to India in 2013. Past/present high school, college, and professional players are urged to check out www.oneworldlacrosse.org or email [email protected] for more information regarding volunteer opportunities.

There are big things on the horizon for OWL and Philippines Lacrosse. They will be playing under a united Filipino banner, as well as the banner of The OWL.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
