An Onondaga father and son make lacrosse sticks in the traditional way. Filmmaker Jack Ofield filmed famed stick maker Alfie Jacques while he was only in his 20’s. It’s a remarkable video that sends us right to that moment in time. Alfie’s father Lou Jacques makes a cameo. Among divulging methods of stick making Alfie also adds integral lessons that cover a life span. “If u can do what you want in life, have a good time… it’s alright”, Alfie proclaims. Reminds us how pure this sport truly is and how special each and everyone of us are to be a part of it.
