FIL World Lacrosse Championship Gets Underway July 10 on ESPN2


ESPNU and ESPN3 will carry the entire 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Lacrosse Championship presented by Trusted Choice – over 40 games from DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Denver – Thursday, July 10, through Saturday, July 19. STX Signs Boston Cannons Attackman Will Manny

Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, today announced a two-year endorsement agreement with Major League Lacrosse (MLL) star Will Manny. The Boston Cannons attackman will represent STX’s Surgeon line, appearing in marketing and advertising campaigns. Manny will also represent STX at camps, clinics, tournaments and in-store events. John Grant Jr. Will Not Compete at World Lacrosse Championships

The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) announced today that forward John Grant Jr. will not be playing for Canada in the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Lacrosse Championships that begin next week in Denver, Colorado. He will be joining Coach Randy Mearns’ staff on the sidelines to help Canada win its third World Championship and will be replaced on the 23-man roster by Burlington, Ontario native Jordan MacIntosh. 2014 Vail Lacrosse Shootout – Day 8


VAIL, Colo. — Another Vail Lacrosse Shootout is in the books, and, as always, it was a spectacular eight days at 8,000 feet. The men’s championship game featured a rematch of last year’s championship teams, On The Hop Nation/Lacrossewear and The Cage Goes All Out. This year, it was Lacrossewear’s turn to take home the first-place trophy after a 12-8 win. Team STX won yet another championship in a landslide victory over in the Women’s Elite division. The fifth day of the Vail Lacrosse Shootout saw the end of the Girls’ High School division and the beginning of the Men’s and Women’s Elite divisions. Team HLA defeated Team 180 ’15 for the coveted championship spot in the Girls’ High School Gold Bracket, their third Vail Shootout Title in a row.
