Penguin Prison Joins Mike Snow On Tour

2012 has already proven to be a satisfying year for Penguin Prison. Having sold out his New Years Eve holiday show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, as well as on the West Coast this month, the band performed live on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic with Jason Bentley last week and announced further North American tour dates with label mates Mike Snow. Penguin Prison will also be headlining shows in South America and Mexico next month.

Things certainly aren’t slowing down for this acclaimed dance-pop outfit that has had Spin Magazine touting frontman Chris Glover as an “electro-pop genius” and Billboard comparing their sound to Cee-Lo and Prince.

‘Don’t F*ck With My Money’ first entered the music arena late last year accompanied by the compelling and relevant Black and White music video — directed by Jake Sumner — documenting Chris Glover with fellow protesters marching at Occupy Wall Street.

‘Don’t F*ck With My Money’ became one of the most blogged about videos, as some music fans and critics across the country used the video as a tool to express their frustrations and concerns, meanwhile, others merely posted and shared because of their love of the single, with it’s killer hooks and infectious melodies that has Glover belting out the words “Don’t f*ck with my money… or you’ll be sorry!”

Fans can now listen and enjoy the DFWMM LP available on all good digital platforms (Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Beatport). Boasting 14 different versions of the single, including an unheard acoustic rendition by Glover himself, plus remixes by Fools Gold artist and remix maestro Sammy Bananas, Billboard chart topping Dave Audé and club favorite Reed McGowan amongst others.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
