Penn State Abington Men’s Lacrosse Equipment 2013

Penn State Abington is wearing new digs this season and they look sharp. White CPX-R helmets, Navy Deft gloves and Nike Six Nation uniforms are just a few of the new items. Abington is displayed with pride across the uniform and the back of the helmets.

The Penn State Abington men’s lacrosse team has been a competitive program since its inception in 2008. Throughout its six years of existence, the men’s lacrosse team has had eight student-athletes named to the North Eastern Athletic Conference All-Conference team. Over 10 men’s lacrosse players have been named All-Academic for their success in the classroom.

Penn State Abington offers a world-class education, personal attention and an atmosphere in which you are encouraged to exercise your talents and put your skills to the test within the classroom and beyond its walls. Here, students are challenged to expand their horizons beyond their academic programs through involvement in numerous co-curricular activites. In addition to a variety of intramural sports, there are 14 NCAA Division III sports teams from which to choose. On the local level, many of our teams compete and have won numerous championships in the North Eastern Athletic Conference and many of our athletes and coaches have been honored with all-conference and coach-of-the-year accolades.

Nationally, teams compete in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) and have qualified and appeared in numerous postseason tournaments across the country. Their athletes have been recognized by the ECAC for their outstanding achievements by being honored with All-American and academic All-American awards. Because of its recent success in multiple sports, Penn State Abington officially became an active Division III member in 2012-13. As an active member of Division III, Penn State Abington athletics will now be eligible for NCAA postseason championships and awards.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
