About the Salt Shakerz:
The Salt Shakerz Lacrosse club is apost-collegiate traveling lacrosse team originating out of the New York City metro area. The Shakerz cametogether in the fall of 2008 when CJ Greene (VillanovaUniversity 00′) and Co. began talkingabout putting a competitive team together of “good guys” both on and off thefield to play in the New Yorkarea. The name ‘Salt Shakerz” is derived from the expression; ‘Pass theSalt’—or in Lax vernacular ‘keep it hot,’ ‘Spin it,’ or ‘one more’. The monikerpays homage to what the club likes to embody: unselfish and tasty play.

It goes without saying that people like tolax with guys they get along with, and that has been the goal of the team sinceday one. Obviously everyone wants to win, but for this group, no one player hasbeen bigger than the team. That being said, the club still puts together atalented squad. The Salt Shakerz roster includes current and former MLL, NLL,and LXM Pro Players-all the way to college club and MCLA guys. The Shakerz rotateplaying in the various tournaments based on the event and geography.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
