Scoop It Up Lax Launches 5V5 Lacrosse Tournaments Powered By Under Armour

Baltimore, MD (June 9, 2011)Scoop It Up Lax today announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind 5-on-5 team lacrosse tournament, in partnership with Under Armour and Inside Lacrosse. The tournament, which is designed to allow participation from all age groups and experience levels, is spearheaded by former NCAA DI head men’s lacrosse coach for the University of Maryland and Loyola College, Dave Cottle, as well as former NCAA DIII head lacrosse coach at Gettysburg College, Hank Janczyk. Scoop It Up Lax 5v5 Powered by Under Armour combines quick movement and athletic endurance in a series of fifteen-minute games played by two five-person squads on a modified lacrosse field.


The first annual Scoop It Up Lax Powered by Under Armour 5v5 National Championships are set for August 3 – 5, 2011 at Gettysburg College located in Gettysburg, PA. All registered players will receive a performance Under Armour tournament Tech T, a free one-year subscription to Inside Lacrosse magazine, and will compete in the tournament.

Registration for 2011 is open to boys in the following playing experience levels and age divisions: Elite or Novice, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, and U-19. National Champions in each division will receive recognition in the Inside Lacrosse Under Armour Scoop It Up 5v5 National Rankings.
