Shamrocks Sign Kevin Kaminski

WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 1, 2011)- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Shamrocks announced today that they have signed on Kevin Kaminski from the University of Delaware for their 2012 season.

“Kevin will be a great addition to the team,” said Barry Powless, head coach of the Shamrocks. “His ability and skill he demonstrated playing midfield at Delaware will definitely translate well in the indoor game. We anticipate Kevin to be a solid transition player for us.”

Kaminski played for Delaware for five years and is a key member of the teams midfield unit. He was named pre-season first team All-Colonial Athletic Conference squad by league coaches and was one of four Blue Hens to be selected in the Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft in January.

“I’m looking forward to playing for the Shamrocks,” said Kaminski. “ We had a good draft, we have great players, and I can’t wait to start winning and hopefully take the championship title.”

Kaminski is a three-year letter winner and served as team co-captain for two consecutive years. He played in 53 career games with 28 starts. He was the fourth round pick for the Shamrocks Collegiate Draft that was held in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
