AUGUST 27, 2012 – SidelineSwap.com made waves in the lacrosse community when they launched their website in May 2012. By providing a simple and secure platform, SidelineSwap allows players from around the country to not only check out, but purchase and trade for the most unique apparel and freshest equipment in the game. From one locker to another, an entire country of athletes can come together to display, discuss, and barter for each other’s gear. Today, SidelineSwap is proud to announce the launch of a new and improved version of the site, which goes beyond the individual player and brings teams and companies into the game. Now, players can not only buy and trade with other players from around the country, but also shop from the coolest stores and teams for new gear.

Here are some of SidelineSwap’s unique features:

Build your locker. Share your gear.
Every user has a locker where they can show off their gear. Listing gear is free and easy. We like to compare it to wearing your gear around town or at a tournament. People can just give you props by commenting on it, or, if they’re really into it, they can make you an offer. You have the option to accept or reject any offer, so you don’t need to commit to anything until it’s actually on the table.

Team SidelineSwap offers direct access to your favorite player’s locker.
Adam Ghitelman, Ryan Young, Tom Palasek, MLL Rookie of the Year, Matt Gibson, and many more Major League Lacrosse stars and former college players have set up Lockers on SidelineSwap to share their favorite apparel and equipment with fans. Check out the Team SidelineSwap section to see an exclusive collection of college, pro and club lacrosse gear.

Messaging
Chat with players from around the country by using SidelineSwap’s new private messaging system. Negotiate deals or just ask questions about how a person managed to get a pair of UNC Blackout gloves in their locker.

Team Sales
Have you ever organized a team and found yourself stuck with extra uniforms or equipment after a tournament or season? With SidelineSwap’s new Team Sales section you can stop selling the gear out of your trunk and start selling it to thousands of players online, from all over the country, who want what you’ve got.

Sideline Stores
Imagine taking home the poster that hung in the Syracuse Men’s Lacrosse locker room at last year’s Big City Classic – the one all the players touched right before they stepped out onto the field? Well, now you can. Inside Lacrosse -sponsor of the Face-Off Classic, Big City Classic and Mile High Classic – is unloading posters, banners, t-shirts and more through their Sideline Store. This means unprecedented access to one of a kind memorabilia from the season’s biggest events. That’s not all: Companies like HeadWrapz, Pro Athletics and Streaker Sports have also set up Sideline Stores where users can find limited supply, custom apparel and equipment.

Visit www.sidelineswap.com and set up your locker today.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
