Springfield Cougars Looking to Finish Strong

A bro from the Philly area sent us in some pics of a high school team from Philly with a rich history, Springfield. The shots after the jump are from their first round game of the District playoffs. They played Owen J Roberts High School and won 9-3, which makes them 17-1 on the season. The Cougars play Hatboro-Horshem High School on Saturday in the next round.

The squad is not only stacked with talent, but also have top of the line gear. Make sure to check out their Maverik Maybachs, Nike uni’s, and Cascade helmets with a “Pride” decal on the back. And if you are wondering what “19064” on the backside of their shooting shirts means….it’s the Springfield zip code. Philly reps it hard!

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.

Bergs, that’s what I was referring to. He was in net for Episcopal when Springfield trounced them.

Penn State has always gotten great recruits in recent memory. I hope they start to pull it together with a new coach.
