Status Bro Acquires Status Flow

NEW YORK, NY (6/27/2011) — StatusBro, a “bro” lifestyle clothing and accessories brand targeted at men aged 18-34, announced this morning that they completed the acquisition of Status Flow, a Baltimore-based lacrosse lifestyle company. StatusBro began courting Status Flow after the two companies met at the September 2010 BroCon.org, a conference for companies targeting men aged 18-34 run by GuyRilla Marketing Group.

Status Flow was formed in 2009 by two University of Maryland club lacrosse players who wanted to outfit the budding lacrosse lifestyle market. “This acquisition will help us round out our catalog and sell directly to the lacrosse bro-mmunity, ” said Logan Roberts, founder and lead designer for StatusBro.

StatusBro was founded in 2009 by three college seniors [Wake Forest and Colorado College] who chose not to enter “the nine-to-five rat race.” Whether chasing fresh powder in the Rockies, shredding “tasty” waves on both coasts, or just kicking back for some mellow lawn games with a cold one, StatusBro strives to make every day epic and to always live by their credo: Do it for the story. Their products represent their carefree lifestyle and constantly remind us that life’s too short to not be a bro. They specialize in tank tops, T-shirts, stickers and koozies — “bro staples,” as Logan describes them.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
