STX Announces Finalists For STXtreme Intern Competition


Baltimore, MD – Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, announced today five finalists for the STXtreme Internship Contest, a search for an undergraduate intern to work with the Marketing Department at STX.

To apply, students had to submit a blog post or 1-minute video explaining why they wanted to work at STX and why they would be a best fit for the brand. STX received over 25 entries from students representing Towson University, Loyola University, Stevenson University, Morgan State University, University of Maryland College Park, Goucher College and even as far as Purdue University.

The 5 finalists below come from 4 Baltimore-area colleges and have various majors in the Communications field.

Chris McNamara from Sandwich, MA is a sophomore Business Administration major at Loyola University Maryland. He played youth lacrosse for three years.

Kellyanne Bondulich, Loyola University

Kelly Bondulich from Tappan, NY is a sophomore Psychology major and Marketing minor at Loyola University Maryland. Kelly runs Track & Field and Cross Country at Loyola.

Chris Allen from Washington, D.C. is a freshman Marketing major at Morgan State. He played varsity lacrosse at Proctor Academy in Andover, NH.

Kristin Henry from Stevensville, MD is a junior Business Communication major at Stevenson University. She played Varsity Field Hockey and Club Lacrosse at Stevenson.

The finalists will compete in the STXtreme Intern Showdown November 2-5. The showdown will require the finalists to get creative and showcase their marketing skills with sports-related social media scavenger hunt. The final Showdown event, a sports challenge, will take place at Power Plant Live! on November 5 at 2 p.m.

“We got a great response from colleges and students, receiving over 25 applications. These 5 finalists had great videos or blog posts that made us want to get to know them,” said STX Marketing Director Ed Saunders. ”We are very excited to see how creative the finalists are with the social media challenge.”

The STXtreme Internship is focused on real sports marketing experience and exposure. The intern will be participating in projects such as photo shoots, sales meetings and college game days.
