Minnesota Swarm Unveils New Home Jerseys

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Swarm today unveiled its new home jerseys for the 2012 season. The Swarm plans on releasing its new road uniforms at a later date.

Minnesota’s home and away uniforms in 2012 will continue to feature its patented blue and yellow stripe pattern along the sides and in addition now feature a honeycomb design around the shoulder area.

For the second straight season, the Swarm’s presenting sponsor – Treasure Island Resort & Casino – will have their logo featured on the back of the team’s uniforms.

“We’re excited to give our jerseys a fresh look for the 2012 season,” said Matt McCormack, Director of Brand Management & Communications for the Swarm. “Incorporating the honeycomb look into the shoulders of the new uniforms really ties in a theme that has been prevalent in our branding over the last few years. I think Swarm fans will love the way these new uniforms look on the field and in the stands.”

Reebok produced the new uniforms and made several improvements to the jerseys, which included using a new, lightweight material and a slimmer design to improve player movement.

“Reebok has revolutionized the NLL jerseys by introducing a lacrosse specific design and developing new materials to maximize performance,” said Steve Robaire, Head of Reebok Lacrosse. “The new NLL jersey has an ergonomic shape design to enhance range of motion and reduce drag. The material used for the NLL jersey is lightweight while offering 4 way stretch as well as advances in abrasion resistance and wicking properties.”

Details in regards to how Swarm fans can purchase the Swarm’s new uniforms will be announced at a later date.
