VMI Lacrosse Moves to SoCon in 2015

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – When the Virginia Military Institute transitions back to the Southern Conference following the 2013-14 athletic year, lacrosse will be coming as well. In a joint effort between the Atlantic Sun Conference, in which VMI will compete in 2014, and the Southern Conference, the latter will take over stewardship of the lacrosse league beginning in 2014-15, making men’s lacrosse the SoCon’s 20th sport. DENVER – Sports Authority Field at Mile High will host one of the 2015 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals will be played at, the NCAA announced. The bid to host the event was submitted by Denver Sports, an affiliate of VISIT DENVER, in partnership with the University of Denver Athletics and Recreation, Sports Authority Field at Mile High, the Denver Broncos and Denver Outlaws. Fairfield to Join CAA in Men’s Lacrosse in 2015

RICHMOND, Va. (June 18, 2013) – The Colonial Athletic Association announced on Tuesday that the Fairfield University men’s lacrosse program will join the CAA as an associate member.
