Moving to the B1G means Maryland can finally make money and climb out of debt created by its former Athletic Director Debbie Yow. The Atlantic Coast Conference Council of Presidents has unanimously voted to accept the University of Notre Dame as a new member. The Irish will compete as full members in all conference sponsored sports with the exception of football which will play five games annually against league programs. Syracuse Makes Deal to Leave Big East Early to Join ACC

USA Today's Erick Smith first reported that Syracuse University will be leaving the Big East Conference in order to join the Atlantic Coast Conference. The school reached a deal with the Big East, which has waived a 27 month exit window so the school can join the ACC July 1 of next year. However, the school will have to divvy out more than $7 million dollars to the league as part of the agreement. Read More...

A new opponent, a new opportunity, and a plethora of new naysayers are on the horizon. As has been the case since the days of my recruitment to Lehigh, though, the more that people predict us to lose, the more motivated (and more likely) we are to win. The Terps are coming to town on Saturday. It’s our senior day, the school’s springcoming, and the weather is supposed to cooperate. What better way could we as seniors ask to end our home careers other than beating Maryland at home and setting ourselves up for an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament. Of course we know it’s going to be a tough game coming at the end of the last week of classes, but who cares? Come Saturday the only thing that will matter is that all 47 guys on the roster go out to Andy Kerr and leave it all on the field. I can think of no better way to end my career here at Colgate than with this group of guys going up against an ACC powerhouse. Read More...

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Six 2012 Tewaaraton Trophy nominees highlight this year’s All-ACC Men’s Lacrosse Team as announced today by the league office. The team is determined by a vote of the league’s four head coaches. Maryland leads all conference teams with four players recognized.
