Illinois Wearing Pink Uniforms for Breast Cancer

CollegeLax gave us a heads up on the Fighting Illini jerseys for April. The team will be donning Pink and White uniforms to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. “This is easily our biggest weekend of games and is almost a best of the Midwest as it features three of the best teams in the area,” said Illinois Head Coach Phil Dodson. “This is also University of Illinois’ Mom’s Weekend which means that the population on campus will theoretically double.”

Michigan State University — Pink Jerseys For A Cure

It's always inspiring when a Lacrosse team does something for the greater good of a community or someone in need. I was inspired and in awe to say the least when I heard that Michigan State's lacrosse team played a game in Support The Cure jerseys (made by Alleson) and donated their funds to find a cure for breast cancer.

Meet The Salt Shakerz Lacrosse Club

The club is a post collegiate traveling team originating out of the New York City metro-area. The Shakerz came together in the fall in 2008 when CJ Greene (Villanova University 00') and co. began talking about putting a competitive team together of "good guys" both on and off the field in the New York area. As is usually the case with CJ, he took the initiative to put the thing together and has been running the show as 'Top Cheese' ever since.

Under Armour Nitro Low Cleats

This past weekend Towson beat Penn State 10-9. Yeah, Towson is on a run to make it to the tournament, but they also played for another purpose. Towson's lacrosse team's Academic Advisor is fighting breast cancer. She undergoes chemo this week. The players selflessly decided to play in her honor and donned pink sweatbands, sticks, and even custom cleats.
