This past weekend, Easton Lacrosse athlete and USA player, Casey Powell, delivered a slick low-to-high shot against Denver’s rising star Jamie Faus at the 2012 Champion Challenge. Team USA rode the clear hard, which allowed Kevin Leveille to corral the loose ball and toss it behind-the-back to Matt Bocklet. Bocklet then seals the deal, ultimately, by feeding to Powell. Orange Trio Named To U.S. Team For 2012 Champion Challenge

BALTIMORE – Three former Syracuse University men’s lacrosse standouts have been named to the U.S. senior national team roster for the upcoming 2012 Champion Challenge. Mike Leveille ’08, Steven Brooks ’08 and Casey Powell ’98 will suit up for the Americans when they face Denver on Jan. 29 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. This past weekend was a special treat for the San Francisco lacrosse community. The second annual ‘San Fran Fall Lacrosse Classic’ featured an amazing game between two powerhouses in Johns Hopkins and Notre Dame live and direct from Kezar Stadium (the former home of such teams like the San Francisco Dragons and 49’ers) in front of close to 5,000 spectators. The great minds at Easton Lacrosse (Doug Appleton & Blake and Cort Kim) sponsored a clinic for the kids on the field before the game that had tomorrow’s stars getting hands on teaching from ND and JHU players.
