The second thing was when we found out about the death of Tyler Kopp. Tyler was a twelve-year-old lacrosse player, and son of Brian and Julie Kopp (both Colgate grads; Brian was a lacrosse player while here). Colgate Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog, Beat Pancreatic Cancer

As we walked into the locker room Friday after classes, we all had a new shirt awaiting us. It was a purple Colgate Lacrosse shirt in honor of a women’s lacrosse player’s mom, Mandy O’Sullivan, who is battling pancreatic cancer. On the back of the shirts it says, “Know It. Fight It. Beat It.” We wore these shirts out to the field and took a picture with the women’s lacrosse team prior to playing. Read More…

Monday, January 23rd not only marked the start to our second week of practice, but also the beginning of classes for us as well. We all went through every one of our classes for twenty-five minute periods, thus marking the beginning of the spring semester. Practice started at 4:30 that day with a very up-tempo pace. A good chunk of practice consisted of station work, and each station had a physical aspect to it. Read More…
