BALTIMORE — Lacrosse Magazine, the flagship publication of US Lacrosse, today announced its 2012 preseason college team rankings and preseason players of the year. NEW YORK – November 16, 2011 — The Whittier College men’s lacrosse team is the latest NCAA Division III program to sign amulti-year equipment deal with Maverik Lacrosse. The Poets, under thedirection of third-year head coach Brian Kelly, are the first and only NCAAsanctioned men’s lacrosse program in Southern California. DENVER – The University of Denver announced the 2012 schedule for the reigning Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Champions and 2011 Final Four men’s lacrosse team on Friday. The slate is highlighted by non-conference contests against three teams that competed in the 2011 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships, including 2011 Final Four contender Duke. Presbyterian Eliminating Men’s Lacrosse as a Varsity Sport at the End of 2011

Presbyterian College announced Monday that its men’s lacrosse program will be eliminated as a varsity sport at the end of the 2011 school year. The decision was made at the Board of Trustees meeting Feb. 23, 2011.

The Presbyterian College Board of Trustees, upon the recommendation of college president Dr. John Griffith and director of athletics Brian Reese, voted to discontinue the sport, which will complete its final season this spring.
