Fort Collins, CO – The #4 Colorado State Rams stretched a 6-2 halftime advantage into a 9-2 lead just minutes into the third quarter and then held on to beat RMLC rival Utah 12-8 on an increasingly chilly afternoon at Colorado State University on Friday. Tempe, AZ – The #1 Colorado State University men’s lacrosse team again started quickly and rode smothering defense the rest of the way in to move their record to 6-0 with a solid road victory over the #9 Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday afternoon. CSU led 6-1 at one point before stumbling a bit down the stretch on their way to a 9-6 win. The Rams were great again on the defensive side of the ball and overcame some fourth quarter turnover problems to get the win. Colorado Springs, CO – Colorado State, the newly minted #1 team in the MCLA, travelled two hours south on Saturday to take on long-time rival and NCAA Division III Colorado College on Saturday afternoon at Washburn Field in Colorado Springs. The Rams wasted little time putting their mark on the game, scoring a goal on their opening possession and then banging home five more in the first period alone to take an insurmountable lead and cruise to a comfortable 12-4 victory.
