6-0 Third Quarter Propels CSU over Westminster


Loveland, CO – The #1 Colorado State Rams used a six goal third quarter to extend a 7-3 halftime lead into a 13-3 advantage over the visiting Westminster Griffins on Saturday afternoon at the Loveland Sports Park. The Rams got 14 total points from attackmen Sean Smith (Amherst HS / Amherst, NY) and Austin Fisher (Rock Canyon HS / Highlands Ranch, CO) to pull away from the MCLA Division II powerhouse in the second half and record a 14-7 win in what was otherwise an evenly played game. CSU Rams Release 2013 Spring Schedule

Fort Collins, CO – Coming off their first MCLA national championship since 2006, the Colorado State Rams have announced an ambitious and challenging schedule for the 2013 campaign. In addition to featuring eight teams ranked in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse MCLA Coaches’ poll at the conclusion of last season and seven teams who competed at the MCLA national championships in May, the schedule will include seven grueling back-to-backs on either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday throughout the year. Colorado State To Take Part In Pumpkin Shootout 10/27

Fort Collins, CO – The Colorado State University Rams men’s lacrosse team will conclude its fall schedule on Saturday, October 27 with a three-game play day at the Pumpkin Shootout at the Manning School in Golden, CO. Cal Poly Stings CSU In OT

Fort Collins, CO – The campus of Colorado State University was abuzz on Friday night as #4 Cal Poly came calling to take on the #1 CSU Rams. In one of the more entertaining and physical games in several years, the two teams traded runs and battled to the end before Cal Poly finally came out on top with a game-winning goal by midfielder Peter Chiang with just :15 seconds left in the first overtime period to take a hard fought 9-8 victory over the home squad.
