The Loyola Men’s Lacrosse team stays true to its roots. This past week, the team received an enormous amount of support from Under Armour athlete and Baltimore Ravens legend Ray Lewis. Lewis has become famous off the field for his hair-raising speeches. Unlike Johns Hopkins, who had New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick give a speech prior to this weekend’s NCAA Quarterfinal game, the Greyhounds sought inspiration from their backyard. DENVER – Steele Stanwick scored a career-high six goals and finished with seven points to lead the No. 6 Virginia Cavaliers (11-3) to a 10-8 victory over the Penn Quakers (3-10), Friday evening at the Whitman’s Sampler Mile High Classic, inside Sports Authority Field and Mile High.
