Detroit-Michigan Game Officially Cancelled



ANN ARBBOR, Mich. (4/18/2013) — With the weather still unpredictable for today, the Detroit-Michigan men’s lacrosse game at Michigan Stadium that was suspended yesterday was officially cancelled this morning. Detroit led 4-3 with 6:32 left in the second period when the second lightning delay of the game sent the teams to the locker room. With the storm never letting up, the call was made to suspend the game with the hopes of resuming it in the future, but it will now go down as cancelled. Read More…

Bragging Rights On The Line In The Big House As The Titans Face Michigan On Wednesday



DETROIT (4/16/2013) — The second edition of the battle between the only two Division I programs in the Great Lakes State will resume on Wednesday as the Detroit Titans head to Ann Arbor to face the Michigan Wolverines under the lights at Michigan Stadium. CHICAGO — The Detroit men’s lacrosse team split a pair of scrimmages on Saturday in the Windy City as the Titans, Bellarmine and Notre Dame got together for the Playing for Peace Catholic Lacrosse Showcase, held at Hales Franciscan High School. Video: Detroit Titans Take Down Marist In Overtime Thriller

DETROIT — Sophomore Joel Matthews (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) scored just one goal on the day, but it made all the difference as Detroit won 8-7 in overtime on Saturday against Marist.
